We were honoured to welcome the esteemed Dr. Kiran Bedi Former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, to Chandigarh University for the Scholars Summit 2024. As India's first female IPS officer, Dr. Bedi's journey is a proof to perseverance, dedication, and consistency.

Ms. Singh's journey from an aspiring artist to a celebrated star is a testament to the power of passion and perseverance. She landed in Bombay at the age of 17 and faced numerous challenges. During this time, her mother’s words, "In the worst case, what will happen, son" and in Punjabi, "Wadh to wadh ki hoju putt," provided her with the strength to keep going.

Mr. Mehta, hailing from a small village in Haryana, epitomizes determination and aspiration. Accomplished individuals like Atul Mehta serves as a powerful catalyst for student motivation and inspiration. His story deeply demonstrates that setbacks are stepping stones to success.

Accompanied by his wife, they shared their inspiring life journey, Mrs. Dhillon recounted the times when she was informed, not once but twice, that her husband was no more. Displaying extraordinary bravery and grit, she did not let grief overwhelm her. Instead, she became a pillar of strength for other army wives, providing them with mental support during those challenging times. Her story highlights the sacrifices and strength of the families of our armed forces.

I am profoundly honored and deeply grateful to have received the ISTE Best Engineering Administrator Award 2023 for Punjab State on June 22, 2024, at the 53rd Annual National Faculty Convention of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) held at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. The award was presented by Prof. Pratap K. Desai, President of ISTE, in the esteemed presence of Prof. Achyuta Samanta, founder of KIIT & KISS University, and Prof. (Dr.) Dilbagh Singh Hira's daughter.

Around 600 NCC cadets participated in the 10 days Annual Training Camp-87, organised by Unit 3 PB Air SQN NCC, Patiala. During the NCC Training Camp at CU cadets received in-depth knowledge and strategies on various Indian Army operations. They were inspired to serve their country and create a better Nation by learning the tactics and strategies employed by the Indian Army, promoting discipline and unity.
